COLLEGE DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

The College Development Committee (CDC) is a statutory body responsible for shaping the strategic direction and overseeing the holistic development of the college. It acts as a bridge between the management, faculty, students, and external stakeholders to ensure academic excellence and institutional progress.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning & Development

    • Formulates long-term and short-term development plans for academic, infrastructural, and institutional growth.

    • Recommends measures to improve quality of education and student services.

  2. Academic Enhancement

    • Suggests new academic programs and ensures relevance of existing courses in alignment with industry needs.

    • Supports implementation of effective teaching-learning methods and faculty development programs.

  3. Infrastructure & Facilities

    • Proposes upgrades and additions to college infrastructure and learning resources.

    • Ensures optimal use of resources for student and staff welfare.

  4. Financial Planning

    • Recommends annual financial estimates and monitors proper utilization of funds.

    • Assists in generating financial support through grants, donations, or CSR partnerships.

  5. Stakeholder Engagement

    • Encourages collaboration with industry, alumni, and other educational institutions.

    • Strengthens community engagement and outreach activities.

  6. Student Development

    • Supports initiatives for skill development, personality growth, and career guidance.

    • Enhances opportunities for placements, internships, and higher education.

  7. Governance & Transparency

    • Assists in framing policies for effective governance, discipline, and inclusiveness.

    • Reviews and monitors the progress of college initiatives and ensures accountability.
